FOOD! You've tried because of a recommendation!

So we tried the Chocolate Macadamia Cupcake yesterday after reading about it on Disney Food Blog. No. Seriously. We left Epcot at the end of our day, tired tired, and trucked over to the Poly to pick a couple of these amazing yummies up.

Um...I was too busy devouring it (and driving) to take a picture. But I PROMISE you - it was sooooooooo worth the trip, and everybit as yummy as DFB says and the pics look. Go. There. Get. One.

What have you sampled at the parks based upon a suggestion from here, DFB, or someplace else? Do you ever make out-of-your-way trips across property to do so?

I'm not sure I would have tried Ohana if I hadn't read so many great reviews of it.

Truthfully, before this forum I had never even paid attention to the Dole Whip, but now I'm hooked!

Havent tried em yet... but my next trip I plan on branching out to the resort dining. Never really ate anywhere but the parks. From what I read I want to try California Grille, and Whispering Canyon

I also had never paid attention to the Dole Whip before reading about them here. It was good, but not so awesome I would go out of my way to get another one.

The dole whip got a lot of great hype, but when I went to get one I discovered it's just pineapple flavoured softserve. I like the dole whip floats much better!

I also tried zebra domes upon forum suggestion and loved them - but was shocked to find out they had alcohol in them! No wonder they're a WDWFG favourite!

Churros in the MK and HS.

Like some others, I find the Dole Whip just OK, but I think I'd like it better with vanilla swirled into it. Next trip for sure.

I'm a swirl girl, too! But I think I'll be headed over to see the Orange Bird the next time I'm in MK, and may opt for a Citrus Swirl Smile

I've got a list as long as my arm of foodie reccomendations I've got to try for my upcoming trip! In the past we've tried the 1900 park fare evening buffet and The Plaza purely based on reccomendations and we loved them!

A friend of mine recommended the BLT soup @ Sci-Fi diner, DHS. I thought it was a bit weird, but i tried it and it's really, really tasty. I'm a chicken wing fiend and normally always have them, everywhere, especially Plamet Hollywood, but got to say this is my soup is a definite close second.

Bobo - if you love chicken wings, you may want to try House of Blues. Disney Food Blog says their wings are awesome awesome, and apparently, she knows her wings! Here's a link to her review:
