Just an overall suggestion, but if you can, get down here right away. Central Florida has what we call cool spells, and for some reason the first few some the most glorious. It isn't so dog gone cold that it is miserable. I can't imagine a better time of year to visit. It isn't jam-packed yet with holiday visitors. Mid-October through mid November has to be the best Disney days. So if there's any way you can visit, do it now. And feel free to pick me up on the way.

Seriously? You call that COLD?
I was there when you first posted, and I thought it was hot! Not miserably unbearably hot, but still hot. As in, glad I wore a wide-brimmed hat so I at least had a little shade hot.
I didn't say cold, I said cool. Now this morning, it was cold, at least to a native Floridaian. But with the sun coming up, it is going to be another lovely day. Days like this are why I bought an annual pass. Today I am trying to figure out why I let it expire.
ok, today I am saying it is COLD! at least for here, it feels like winter! It did not reach 70, and was 52 this morning when I went to work. Plus there was a very brisk wind all day so despite the beautiful sunny blue skies, it was chilly! And yes, they said this cold weather is somehow caused by Sandy! Tonight is supposed to be colder, in the low 40s, and high in the 60s tomorrow.
My 2nd graders came to school all bundled up with jackets and hats and even gloves!
I'm not a native Floridian but I've been here long enough for my blood to have thinned I guess. How I grew up in Erie, PA in the snow belt, I'll never know.

IMO high temps in the 60s and lows in the 40s or 50s are just about perfect. But I tend to like it cooler than most people. My home's thermostat is set at 65 degrees, and sometimes I think that's too warm.
Give me a hoodie and jeans, and I'd have no problem braving Disney. I'd be there today if I could. Too cold is probably in January and Feburary, but it only lasts a couple days. A week tops.
Ha ha! It was 54 here the other day and I was walking the dog in shorts and a t-shirt! The lower temps in January is why we go then.

I've heard that the Florida cold is a colder cold. I wouldn't be able to tell. Anyone can comment on it for me?
