How to add a countdown/banner to your signature on WDWForGrownUps!

1). Make a countdown at any of the many website available.
2). Copy the "HTML Code" of the countdown you made.
3). Go to your "My Account" page by clicking on "edit Setting" under the "Forum" tab.
4). Scroll down the page to "Signature" and paste the "HTML Code" you copied into this space, then scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save". Go to any prior post you made, or make a new post and your new "Countdown" should display at the bottom of your post.

Could someone sticky this please.

Now the next question is... How do you get a profile picture?

Just above your signature setting, see where it says "upload picture" ? Do that and then click on save. That will do it. Make sure the picture is in small web size format, that makes it a lot easier.

Hello! I have a quick question about signatures...

I just added another ticker to my signature (2 Disney trips in 1 year...yay!!). For some reason, when I previewed my next message, they showed up twice. I have tried deleting and re-pasting them in, going back to the original website where the ticker was created and re-copying...nothing is working. Every time I preview it, they are doubled up. I'm on a Mac if that matters...Let me know if you can help!

Thanks Smile

Shouldn't my countdown be changing?? Or do I have to change it myself everyday??? I'm confused, it's not counting down automatically.

Yes, it should be changing daily. Looks like you have one from Mickey path, there may be an issue in their code you can always set it up again.

Watchmaker, it must not be in your signature because I'm only seeing it in just that one post. If you can get it into your signature it will automatically appear in every single one of your posts, including past posts.

Copying Mrhub's original post:

You would want to edit that back on the original site and copy that HTML code again. You might consider keeping the real name out of it and focus on something that doesn't give away to much personal information perhaps your sons birthday like the 17th celebration trip. Just a suggestion. I love this forum but we do have random people watching that we don't even know and not all people are kind hearted.

Try completely deleting EVERYTHING from your signature block. Every last character. Then go make a new countdown with just the info you want and paste that into the signature block. (Unless you really want both of those counters in there.)

Look at the top of this thread. MrHub posted screen shots showing EXACTLY what to do along with *step by step* instructions. Doesn't get simpler than that.
