I Wish...I Wish...I Wish...Too Late...

Well as we were watching our recent vacation dvd last night, one thing struck me...Hey!..We never done that..We wanted to hire the Sun Tracker Pontoon boat at WL but we never did..And i wish we had filmed " Wishes " ...We watched the special at the MNSSHP but I feel I missed something by not watching the normal one.. sad ...Have you ever came back from a vacation and wished you had done or seen something at Disney.?....We managed every missed snack that was on our list and our ADR hit list was accomplished...I also wished we had done " Beauty & the Beast " show...Last time was way back in 2010...Bah Humbug.. mad ....So do you have any missed regrets.?...

I missed out on a couple of food items - mainly from my F&W list. I also missed out on a couple of counter services that I wanted to try. But saying that I did not have a bad meal at all so it was not so much of a miss out as a replaced with other things.

In all I feel I achieved everything I wanted to and had the greatest time doing it.

I think if I make it back I will build a new bucket list of things I did not have time to try.........

There are so many things I missed out on this last trip because it was only 5 days long and one of those days was spent at Universal. I only explored half of World Showcase...started in Mexico, got to American Adventure then had to meet hubby at Mission Space so I turned around. Didn't stay long enough to see IllumiNations. Didn't ride the monorail at all this trip. Didn't see any parades. Didn't do Country Bear Jamboree (I still love that show!). Still haven't tried a Dole Whip or TSMM. Maybe next time.

Still have never made a rope drop. But have lasted until the kiss goodnight. Still have never done Tough to Be a Bug. OK with missing Stitch, though. Never watched the fireworks from the Contemporary, or the beach of the Poly, but last trip, finally paused long enough to take in the whole show, standing still. There is always something missed, and that is a good thing. Everything you missed is a reason to go back!

There's definitely a lot of things I wish I knew about earlier so that I could've experienced earlier but fortunately, I'm reserving most of the bucket list items for my next trip. As of now, I think my biggest one has to be Off Kilter. With Off Kilter gone, I'm now really regretting I never got the opportunity to see them in person! sad

Never regrets... only opportunities for the future.

When I plan out my Disney trips there are always several levels of things that I want to accomplish. I have my "must-dos," which are usually 3-5 things a day that if I don't accomplish I'll be upset and cranky. I have my "want-tos," that are also broken down by day and worked into the schedule but won't make me upset if I miss them. Then I have my "like-tos" that mostly covers things I have done before and want to do again but if I miss it's no big deal.

There is simply so much stuff to pack into our time at Disney, I always know that I'm going to be missing things that I would really like to do. The past few years it has been important for me to focus on trying new experiences when I'm there, that means that many times my favorites end up not happening. My Disney time is always wonderful and special, but there are always things that were on my list that I come home without accomplishing.

My only regret is usually photos. Despite the fact that I take a ridiculous amount of photos, I always come home and try to put the photo book together only to discover that an important shot is missing that is needed to completely tell the story of the trip. For example, it took me about 4 trips to remember to take a picture of Club Cool. I'd come home from every trip with about 25 pictures of Spaceship Earth, but not a single one of Club Cool. No matter how many times we go and how many pictures I take, I always miss one that is important to the story.

Dole Whips at 10 am? Kinda thought it was crazy at first but I'm now sold on that! As long as I don't eat at a breakfast buffet right before that.....

JoAnn I am so sorry you missed the Festival of Fantasy Parade. It was amazing!! I know it is not the same, but until you can see it person, view it on You Tube. The fire breathing dragon was so cool it was hot!! laugh laugh

DH and I sat on the balcony of the train station and shared a Mickey Pants sundae while waiting for the parade to begin. Even though we were that high up, several of the floats were right in our face!!

We also missed the Festival of Fantasy parade this past trip, but will definitely rectify that in January. I also wished I had purchased the special MNSSHP Magic band when we were at the Halloween party.

We missed viewing wishes right in front of the castle, we saw it from our room and from the Cali Grill. It was Dh's first trip. But we will do it next time.
