I've got friends who went last year from Dublin...The USA immigration desk is at Dublin Airport so when they arrived at MCO they went straight out the airport into their self drive car..

I was in Dublin for a conference in 2010 and flew US Air from Dublin to Philly then connection to Toronto. Anyway, Dublin has a fairly intense US checkpoint. Retina and palm scanners, multiple cameras with different colored lenses pointing at you etc. The US customs at the Toronto airport is nothing like that in Dublin.

You have to look right at the officer straight in the eyes and he stares at you to see if and when you look away. Then if you look away to the left, that means something, look to the right, that means something else. Blink twice and rub your left eye... well that means you'll be missing your flight. But even if you look away, a rubber hand on a stick comes out of the booth and slaps your face back to eyes forward. laugh

Joking aside, it was the most intense checkpoint I've gone through at an airport.

350 pounds? That seems kind of light for an airplane wink

We really liked the Springs. It was close to the main building and it was the last bus stop before the bus left for the park. I would do Congress Park if the DTD walkway was open, but I doubt that it is yet. They're doing some pretty significant construction in that area. The Grandstand is a good second choice as it is still close to the main building and reasonably close to the DTD boat dock.

If you like Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa, then you are going to love:

Disney's new Borscht Belt Resort and Spa celebrating the spirit of the 1960's resorts of the Catskill Mountains in Upstate New York. Each building pays tribute to a different vintage Catskill's resort; Kutchners, Grossingers, The Concord and others.

For entertainment, you'll be regaled in the evenings by hack comics and washed-up lounge singers at Disney's new state-of-the-art, night club, "Mickey's Joint" where you really should "try the veal"," tip your waiters" and "drive carefully." Get your dance on at the Saturday night dirty dancing contest where you may have the time of your life.

For outdoor entertainment, try skiing on our man-made snow on our man-made mountain. Central Florida's finest skiing is found at Disney's Borscht Belt Resort and Spa. Then curl up at the lodge in front of the fire with a hot chocolate.

All resort rooms are bungalow style with running hot and cold water, flushable toilets and modular shower stalls. Luxuriate on our pull-out couches and stretch your toes on the vintage shag carpets.

And best of all, it's all just a 90 minute bus ride to any Disney World Park.

Disney's Borscht Belt Resort and Spa, where the spirit of the 1960's Catskills resorts still lives.

So very jealous, if Iain could have got the week off work I'd be coming with you, but someone has to look after the children. I was thinking of playing the 'well I can't do anything until my shoulder is better' card laugh

Looking forward to the TR awesome
