Our ADR's for September

Its almost ADR time Laughing out loud YAY! Its Friday of this week so I'm finalising our plans for September, though I'm sure it will be tweaked in the run up to our trip Wink

I jut thought I would throw them out there in case anyone fancies a read, and I'm always interested to hear what everyone else thinks of the restaurants. We are trying lots of new places this time plus some old favourites thrown in mickey those with stars are the new ones.

Here we go....

Day 1 - travel day

Day 2 - Breakfast - Grand Floridian Cafe (this has fast become somewhat of a tradition now, mmmm brioche french toast...)
Day 2 - Dinner - Be Our Guest*

Day 3 - Dinner -Tokyo Dining*

Day 4 - Dinner -somewhere in city walk as visiting Universal (any recommendations?)

Day 5 - Not sure where to eat this day, we are in HS. Any suggestions? not 50's prime time tho as we didnt enjoy it last time.

Day 6 - Dinner - Wolfgang puck cafe*

Day 7 - Lunch - Sanaa

Day 8 - Lunch - Whispering Canyon Cafe* to check out Wilderness lodge
Day 8 - Afternoon tea at Grand Floridian*

Day 9 - Lunch - Kona Cafe*
Day 9 - Dinner - Grand Floridian Cafe* (never been for dinner before)

Day 10 - Cafe D'Antonio in Celebration (been before and its amazing!)

Day 11 - Dinner - Maya Grill*

Day 12 - Lunch - Yak & Yeti, been before and wasn that keen but going to give it another try Smile

Day 13 - Lunch - Beaches and Cream* (been before but just for ice cream)
Day 13 - Dinner - Teppan Edo

Day 14 - Dinner - 'Ohana*

Day 15 - Dinner - along I Drive

Day 16 - Lunch - Wolfgang puck express

Day 17 - At HS again and not sure where to eat?

Day 18 - Dinner - Outback on the 192 Smile

Day 19 - No plans for sit down meal

Day 20 - Leave to come home so will probably eat at the Airport to save ourselves from the yuk plane food!

Also we are hoping still to grab a last min bargain trip for May so have a few places booked for that trip too Smile We are planning on buying a Tables In Wonderland card as it will cover both trips Smile if i had known about it before i would have bought it last year when we bought our annual passes.

What do you think of those choices?

They sound awesome! yay For the Hollywood Studios days, 5 & 17--for one of the days, have you considered doing the Fantasmic! package at either Hollywood Brown Derby (which usually gets quite good reviews) or Mama Melrose's (which gets mixed reviews)? We have one at Mama Melrose's and despite the mixed reviews, we're hoping to have a good time there--we'll let you know after our May trip! You could also go off-property and try something at an Epcot-area resort, like the Boardwalk or Yacht/Beach Club Smile

If you are eating out of Disney, we really like Bahama Breeze on the 535.

We love Il Mulino at the Swan for Italian.

I went to The Maya Grill many years ago, when Coronado Springs first opened. It was nice and I was planning to revisit. However, the review on The Disney Food Blog was average, so check it out before you book.

Everything else sounds great.

Maybe do counter service on your HS day. We have always liked backlot express. It is where we go for hot dog/burger type meal.

We enjoyed the food at Margartiaville on the City Walk when we were there (just had poor service but hopefully that was a fluke). It also was practically empty when we went there on a weekday around 11:30am but I'm sure it would be more lively around the dinner hour.

at Hollywood studios we always enjoy the Brown Derby very much and for a quick sandwich there is a litte cafe---I think it is called starring rolls that is right next to the Brown Derby that serves a great sandwich and pastry items. I did see where somebody suggested going to the boardwalk from Hollywood studios. It is a pleasant boat ride and you will find Kouzina there which is fabulous. I will be there in September and will be making my reservations tomorrow!! Have a fabulous time.

Wonderful plans!

Have you tried Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater at DHS? It gets mixed reviews, and I've had both good and mediocre meals there, but it would give you a feel for the old drive-in movie theaters that used to be everywhere here in the U.S. (Amazingly, we still have one just a few minutes from our home and another about an hour's drive away.)

Also, I can't recommend anyplace in Universal's City Walk, but Mythos in Islands of Adventure and Lombard's in Universal Studios are pretty good.

I havent really thought about a fantasmic package, usually cause we just aim to get there in plenty of time. Will look into it though Smile thank you Smile

Yes we are going to decide in the run up whether to keep Maya Grill, we have good friends eating there in August so they are going to let us know what they think, we eat at the same sort of places back home Smile

Ive never been to Bahama Breeze, though its always gets good reviews. Might have to give it a try! Thanks Smile

We ate there once and had a pretty shocking meal, but it was mainly due to the bad service, i was actually going through online menus at HS today and thinking we might give it another go. Smile Mythos is supposed to be amazing, i should go and have a look really, i hadnt even thought about there!

Evening Robyn have done the Fantasmic package at the Brown Derby and it did save money and it was great strolling through to the reserved seating. Although some people dont like the seats as it is off to one side but we enjoyed it. I ate at Mythos nearly 10 years ago and the food was fab back then, the reviews last year weren't that great. Ate at Bubba Gumps last year and that was fun, and you have just reminded me of the lost little boy in the ladies loo there!

You must be self employed to be able to take all the long vacations. So jealous. Its even longer for us to travel to Florida.

No not self employed. In the uk we get about 25 days holiday per year Smile and we have the least amount of holiday days in Europe!

Those plans look great, i do have one suggestion though since you are going off property anyway we love the Black Angus steak house, always go when we have a car it is on 535, and very reasonable prices. as far as hollywood studio's goes if you don't mind a quick service i love the fairfax fare, ribs chicken gourmet hot dogs, it is really good

Have booked up to day 9 and got everything I wanted. Seriously peeved at the wdw website though. It's having problems today for a lot of people, me included, it's taken hours to try and book. Grrr! I was panicking about getting be our guest but got it no problem Smile

I'm jealous too but then I realise in 7 months Im going to be there for 4, then 4 months after that 4 days in DL, then a month after that 10 days in the world! So I'm pretty close on the Disney goodness scale over a 5 month period.
