The parasailing looks so awesome. My DH would love to do that someday. Like Scrappy, I'll be just fine sitting on the sidelines and watching awesome

Ken I was up 600 feet!

eek 600 feet??!! Wow! That' AMAZING.

That boat engine sounds a lot like the Friendship boats at Epcot.

My pictures of his adventure were terrible. Between the movement of the boat and the sun I had no idea if I had him on camera on not. Here a few of the many they took as part of the picture package we got with the parasailing package. You also get to choose between going up 400 or 600 feet. Both are way to high for me. Mark also had a camera up there with him. He said he is going to start a thread with a lot of pictures about parasailing. I am sure he will include those pictures in his thread.

Once we came in from the boat we were both hot and sticky. We went back to the resort to cool off and relax just a bit before it was time to get ready to go to dinner. Dinner tonight was Narcoosees. I have said before it is quickly becoming a favorite for us. Tonight was no exception. Dinner was fantastic!!!

After dinner I was full and starting to get very tired. I also had two drinks with my meal which tends to make me sleepy. We had also been on the go most of the day and out in the hot sun most of the afternoon. However, this was the night I thought we were just meeting Disney Friends on the dock. So, after dinner Mark had to try to get me to wake up. A few pictures of us (him) killing time before springing the Grand One surprise on me. A few more I found of the Grand One too. Again I must say....What an evening this was!!!

The lamp was a gift from John (our usual Wishes Cruise Captain) and his wife. It did come from one of the rooms in the Grand Floridian. He got it from a store that is for the employees. Now there is a store I would love to visit!!!!

All in all it ended up being one of my favorite days ever. My high was the Wishes Cruise and needless to say I did not have a low for the day.

Mrhub: High was meeting our friends for the Wishes Cruise.
Low was Bill & Linda not being able to join us on the cruise.

That's ok scrappy - I would have done the same thing if Ken was up there, which is exactly why he is the photographer in our family!! wink

And, I would LOVE to see that store as well!!

Friday...our last day

We were meeting Buffalo Bill and NHShorty at the Poly for breakfast this morning. While we could have just hopped on the monorail we wanted to drive. We wanted to check out the renovations so we left a little early for our meet up. Sure enough, walls had gone up in just the few days since our last visit.

Bill and Linda were waiting at Kona for us when we got there. Thank goodness they had already signed in so we did not wait long to be seated. Breakfast was, as it always is...delish! After taking pictures of everyones food, we all ate and chatted away. Having breakfast with Disney Friends was a GREAT way to start the day.

Once we finished our breakfast, Bill and Linda wanted us to show them "our" Poly. We did take them for a walk around the resort. It was kind of hard to get the real feel of the resort with so much construction going on though. It is also hard to show someone how you "feel" about something. So, I am not sure we did a very good job with that.

The four of us then decided we would go to the MK. We took the Poly boat over. We rode the People Mover, the COP, checked out the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and enjoyed Mickeys Philharmagic together. We had such a good time spending time with Bill and Linda and we both hope we get to do it again.

Our FP+ times were coming up soon so it was time to say our goodbyes to Bill and Linda. We spent the rest of the afternoon riding our favorite rides and shopping for the grandkids. Time really flew by today and it was dinner time. Dinner was at Tonys. We have always enjoyed our meal there and today was no exception.

After dinner I went to find a nicotine attraction. They are few and far between any more. Once we walked over and I had my "fix" Mark and I both decided we were pretty much beat. The dreaded "we have to go home" blues had started to set in. on our way through Tomorrow Land as we were walking past the People Mover we both knew we just had to hop on for one more trip around. It was a fun way to say goodbye to the Kingdom for this trip. As we were walking towards Main Street and past the Ice Cream Parlor we both knew we still had room for one more snack. I found a table for us and Mark came back with a Kitchen Sink. YUMMY!!!

Now it was truly time for us to head back to our resort. We hopped back on the Poly boat. I love this ride. All of the resorts are so beautiful from out on the water. And even more so as the sun starts to go down. We spent a little time taking pictures from the dock at the Poly. Pretty cool to think we were looking at where we were now staying, where we would be staying in November and where we will be staying in January. I also came to realize, I love them all. The Poly will always be my favorite but I do find that they are all beautiful in their own way.

I started to pack most of our stuff while waiting for the fireworks. By the time they started, I had enough packed up for the evening. We watched Wishes from our balcony. What a great end to a wonderful trip.

Saturday morning arrived far to soon. We were packed up and on our way out to our car by 7:00. Oh well, only 187 more days to go. And on the bright side, we are only 7 days away from making our ADRs. One last picture on our way out...

I made an ADR for Tonys my first full day. Never been! What is that tomato dish?? Caprese something?

And I love the World in the evening. Even though it is hot in summer, I think summer nights are awesome.

It is the Samoan, it is their version of eggs benedict. It is poached eggs with Hollandaise sause over smoked pulled pork hash.

I do not think they are seasonal items. So, as long as they sell, they should have them.

That is called Tomato Caprese. It is very good and very refreshing when it is hot outside.
