Which resort would you choose?

I am planning my 40th birthday trip and I am curious which of my top 3 choices would you pick? We have never stayed at any of these. I would love pros, cons and any other opinions regarding the choice you make or why you didn't choose the other resorts, etc.

I loved celebrating my 40th at the Contemporary and watching the fireworks from our balcony!

I voted Contemporary, but if you could do a Bay Lake Tower Vills with an MK view, that would be my real choice out of those resorts.

Bay Lake Tower is what I am looking into. I wasn't thinking when I made the poll. I am planning on renting DVC points for my trip. So far everyone is saying Contemporary. I may have to change my top choice.

I haven't stayed in any of them. I'm going to be different and say Beach Club. I like the theming of the Beach Club.

Okay I'm going with another choice and going to say the Polynesian Resort. Big surprise huh?
You got the view, the beach, the Volcano pool, the Tiki torches, the Polynesian music playing in the background, the view, the Lupa Lupa's, the view, did I say the view? It's just our favorite.

That is REALLY where I want to stay. It is my dream resort, but I just can't swing it. One day I will. Maybe for the big 5-0!

I voted BC. The most dining and drinking options are at Epcot and BW area. And you can walk to 2 parks from there. And SAB is the best pool. and there is Jelly Rolls, ADH, Espn, etc.

I voted Boardwalk! The proximity to Epcot/DHS is awesome, and out of the resorts in that area it has my favorite theme.

I haven't stayed in any of the resorts in the poll but if I had to choose from the list I would definitely go with the Contemporary because of the view.

I've never stayed there, but I would choose the Boardwalk because of the entertainment options and proximity to DHS and Epcot.

I voted The Contemporary
My favourite - we only had the cheapest room but it was nice with easy access to the pool and parking area (they let us leave our car too whilst we cruised for a week)
The reception was great and I never waited long at all to,be dealt with - very attentive!
We stayed at Easter time so thought it would be really busy but it was lovely and never struggled to get beds by the pool
There is water boats and assailing - which was lovely
The feel of the place is lovey and I can't wait to go there again

Let us know what you decide

I honestly think all of then are lovely, beach club would come slightly higher than boardwalk only cause the rooms looked a bit more dated, that being said we might stay in boardwalk DVC in September.

I've only stayed at AKL, and absolutely loved it! Out of your picks though, I would say Contemporary for the view!

We had Contemporary MK view, about the ninth floor if I remember right and all I can say is wow, nothing like it. Mouths hit the floor upon arrival.

I'm sure the view is great at Contemporary, but I voted for BC. We love the proximity to Epcot and the pool. When we go back as a family for our son's graduation we are doing Boardwalk for the same reason and so the grandmothers can sit in the Adirondak chairs on the front porch.

That's a tough choice! I think I would go with either of the Epcot resorts, Beach Club or Boardwalk, because I love the idea of walking to Epcot whenever I want, and strolling around the Boardwalk. I don't think you lose, no matter which of those you choose.

It might just come down to your park preference. I would rather have lots of access to Epcot that MK, if I had to choose. mickey

I voted for "Other suggestions". My #1 most favorite resort is Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House. There's nothing like it.

I'm going with Contemporary...it was born nearly the same time as you were! Smile
Happy 40-ish birthdays to you, Magic Kingdom, and the Contemporary Smile
