Dining with an imagineer?

Has anyone done this?

I know hubby would LOVE it (he's an architect) and as its his 30th trip I am seriously considering it, I just want to know what its like really.

I am such a fussy eater, will I cope?

What happens at the meal?

Thank you

I think..if my brain is working correctly..that Scrappy and MrHub did this on one of their trips recently. My friend did it awhile ago and she liked it..I think it's kind of a crapshoot as to who you get though..I've heard some are great while others are a little humdrum.

It was fun but I would not do it again. As far as food choices, just pull up the Brown Derby or I think the other place in Flying Fish menus. Your menu for the meal will be a much smaller version of the normal one. I think you have a choice of two different soups, salads and desserts. I believe we had a choice of three different main courses.

You basically have lunch at the Brown Derby in the Bamboo Room with someone that works for Disney. You don't have any say or choice of who you eat with and there are is only a small group of people who will even do this from what we were told by our Imagineer, David Hardiman. Here is the menu we had and the personalized pamphlet we got. Also the plate you get after a few weeks.

Thanks for the feedback, have just spent ages fiddling with our plan to fit it in, have managed to book for the 24th October. I have such a fussy diet, am not looking forward to that bit! I know how much hubs would enjoy this though so its worth the cost of both of us - even if i eat nothing!

They don't & won't tell any secrets and they can only talk about what they do and nothing else, so your going in pretty much blind and with your hands tied. Just remember, an Imagineer could do anything, I mean anything. Does not mean they will be an artist or someone who works on movies or even in the park. Our guy worked in Business administration now.

Have never done this but want to. I read that Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge also does Dine with an Imagineer. From what I have read, I don't think you can use dining credits. You have to pay out of pocket and it is a limited schedule. Only every other Thurs. so you have to call to see what they have available and when. I am thinking about booking this for our trip in December if it falls on the right day. Just a thought for you, I see you have already booked......
