New Future Husband from the UK

Hi Guys,

I'm new and from the UK, I've not put my name on here in case my Fiancee finds it!

We are going to WDW in August for our Honeymoon! I've never been before but my Fiancee used to go all the time with her family when she was younger and they are big Disney fans! Although we have been to DL Paris and DL Hong Kong together.

I've joined to get ideas to help me plan 2 surprise days for her whilst we are there. I've already got a table booked at Cinderellas castle for one of the days, but if there is anything else you could suggest to help me make her days extra special I would greatly appreciate it.

Welcome and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I have a couple of suggestions.

- Dinner at California Grill (Comtemporary Resort) during the Wishes fireworks
- Dine with an Imagineer
- Park tour
- Pampering at a spa

Where are you staying? How long will you be there?

Thanks JoAnn C.

We're staying at Wilderness lodge for the first 3 nights, and then Animal Kingdom Kidani Village for another 20 nights! The hotel and flights are a wedding gift from my future in laws.

We've booked a few ADRs already together, and my fiancee has done a Honeyfund list with things we would like to do together. But I've got my two days to plan! Which as a DW Virgin is very difficult, as there's so much to do.

You've come to the right place. Everyone here is friendly and helpful and I'm sure will give you a lot of good suggestions.

What ADRs to do you have booked? What do you have planned?

Hi UKFH! Welcome to the boards! I'm sure you'll get a lot of suggestions here, but two that pop into my head are booking a fireworks cruise on Seven Seas Lagoon and/or (and I agree with JoAnn on this one) dinner at the California Grill atop the Contemporary. It is one of the best meals I've ever had and its super romantic!

Welcome UKFH & congrats. I agree with dinner at California Grill being a very special treat! Also the wishes cruise. We did the dine with imagineer once, and althought it was special & you get a really cool plate , do I think it is worth it , no.

Sorry I was trying to post from my Iphone at the Hospital. After re-reading your post & see how many days you were going to be there, the dining with the imagineer wouldn't be too bad to do. I thought you were only there for a few days and didn't know if you wanted to use that much time, it's usually aroun 2 1/2 hours.

Here is the plate you get.

Welcome and congrats awesome
I'd say plan a tour while you're there. You've got plenty of days to plan some fun meals and don't forget to tell the it's your honeymoon.
Have a great time,
Dee

Welcome UKFH!!

Wow! What a fabulously long honeymoon you'll be taking! I must admit JoAnn's picks are fantastic, especially the spa day! I know that there are some couples treatments too, a romantic day of relaxing and pampering would be a dream!

Welcome, UKFH! If romance is the name of the game (and I'm sure it is Smile ) I would suggest a carriage ride at Port Orleans if they're available during your stay! I hear they are wonderful. Also, if possible, maybe you can spend some time at the Polynesian close to fireworks time, and find a spot on the beach (maybe even a hammock) to watch Wishes from.

Here's a recent thread about free romance that might be helpful:

Also, consider calling Disney Florist, or looking online at their offerings. They have a lot of beautiful and delightful gifts. You could also book a photo session to have some special pics taken by a Disney photographer. That would be a GREAT way to celebrate and would give you a momento that you would always have.
