Yes I am. Why? So I can say I am. In fact I just received the shareholders report in the mail yesterday.

I am, or rather, we are.

This is because I put so much money into it, I might as well own a small piece of it. Not that we could actually retire and live off it or anything.

Still, during the last stock market crash when Disney stocks were below $20 at one point, we did spend quite a chunk of change gobbling up as many as we could afford. Glad we could do that because look at what they are now.

I have been a stockholder for 25 years. My daughter's college fund was in Disney, Wal-mart and Home Depot. She graduated a while ago, and only some of the Disney stock remains today.

When she was little she knew we owned part of Disney, so while we were visiting WDW, she asked which part was hers. I told her she owned one of the tea cups. Of course she wanted to know which one. Even though I won't go near those things she always rides her teacup when she visits the MK.

Yes, I am. I wanted the certificate because Winnie the Pooh was on it... biggrin
I also just got my report package a couple days ago however I vote online. I just like all the materials.
It is fun to say "I own part of the magic" When I have my Disney bar -the 100 acre wood bar. My stock certificate, Disney dollars, and collectibles will be proudly displayed. I'm tinkering with the idea of a neon Poohbear sign biggrin

We also once bought 1 share of stock for the stock certificate (a while back, notice Eisner's signature on the certificate).

Actually, we also bought 1 share of Pixar before they were bought by Disney, also for the stock certificate

They are prominently displayed in our family room as "art".

On year (2002?) the annual stock holders meeting was in Hartford CT. My daughter and I attended and met Eisner and Portier. Iger was there too, but only as the president of ABC. I don't think Roy was there. This was before Roy's departure from the company and attempt to change the management.

Dude... your scaring me. I swear the more you post... the more we seem alike. I have been a shareholder for that long as well.

And now... everyone is probably thinking... how is that so? Your only in your mid 20's... I mean 30's....? Hmmmmm.... anyways. My Dad had a patient who was into all that stuff and he asked him about Disney Stock? The patient said oh... no problem... how much you want? And my Dad got me invested in it. He wanted it in my name so that I had a personal investment with the mouse. If I remember right... its split twice by now? Hasnt in a while... but its one of those things ill never get rid of... just fun to have.
