I'll be honest.. I did enjoy the movie, but not to the extent as some people. I wouldnt put it in top 20 Disney movies. But thats just my opinion of course! Im glad so many people enjoyed it!

I watched the first episode of Once Upon a Time last fall and swore off the show because it ruined the "happily ever after" at the end of Frozen.

I'm afraid Frozen 2 will do the same thing.

But heck, of course I'll go see it.

I quite like frozen so I'll watch it... I mean it's no 'little mermaid'....

I liked it the first 20 times or so. After you listen to a 9 year old sing "Let it Go" repeately for 3 months straight, it kind of starts to irk a bit. I do love Olaf though!

I know a lot of people were not happy with that decision. Guess 2016 won't be the year of closure of the Frozen hype....

It'll be interesting to see what they'll do story wise. It would be unwise to not address the plotholes that everyone complained about in the first film. My speculation of a possible plot or idea is that something goes wrong with Elsa's powers that cannot be fixed by love itself or are simply too big to handle (The Frozen Fever short may very well foreshadow that.) and that the whole Frozen gang has to take the exact same trip that Elsa's parents took prior to their death to figure out if there is another twist regarding Elsa's powers. This is just an educated guess on what Frozen 2's story might be.

I also wonder how much staying power Frozen will have given that animated films take 4-5 years to make, meaning the earliest date will be around 2018-19. I see the core audience of Frozen being 4-9 year old girls who saw Frozen in the theaters and they will be tweens or early teens by 2018-19 so who knows if they'll outgrow Frozen by then.

I'm officially declaring Frozen the "Potter Swatter" as we speak. A confirmed Frozen ride and bringing back Frozen Summer Fun from last year makes too much sense for me not to think otherwise.

laugh aww come on, Kristen, it's not THAT bad!! wink

It took me three viewings to actually like Frozen and it wasn't the movie, but the fact that we were in MK watching Celebrate the Magic the week after it had been released and Let It Go as part of that show was just stunning to me. I downloaded the soundtrack as soon as we got home from that trip. The movie to me is still just...ok. I LOVE the music. And I mostly like the characters. I just don't like the plot holes that were the result of Elsa's last minute change from bad guy to good guy and the complete lack of set-up for the villain. But of course I'm going to see the sequel...because it's Disney animation and I'm a sucker. laugh

Took me 2 years to see the first movie and it was meh, so I know I won't be seeing the sequel, but I'm sure a lot of people were excited with the announcement.

This exactly! I LOVED this movie when it first came out (saw it 3 times in theaters and bought the movie the day it came out), but my 19 month old has had us watching this movie almost every day since December so I'm getting a little burnt out to say the least biggrin

I will admit, the first time I watched Frozen I was very disappointed. I did not see what all of the hype was about. But, due to our grandchildren I watched it at least 6 more times the same week. It did grow on me and I ended up loving it. I will be excited to see Frozen 2.
