Morning from the UK!

yay
Good morning everyone!

My name is Art Steventon, and along with my wife, we're massive Disneyworld fans. We've been 5 times already, and are now looking forward to celebrating our tenth anniversary together in WDW next January!

Hope to get involved in some nice chats about our times at WDW, and to share some advice and get some new tips to make our next trip the best yet.

TTFN!

Good morning!

It's 6:15 am in New York, though I imagine you've been awake for quite a while now! It's quiet in my house; my husband and 3 kids are all fast asleep. I love this part of the day, knowing everyone is asleep and having the house to myself.

So.... where will you be staying in January? We've stayed at the Polynesian twice, then switched to the Beach Club last year, and I have to say we're hooked! My 3 kids are total water rats, so StormAlong Bay was a HUGE hit! And being able to walk to Epcot was simply wonderful!!

Hello Art and Welcome!!...so glad you have decided to join our Disney-loving crew. stars

Where have you stayed on your previous visits? As Aliceacc asked do you have a resort in mind for your January trip? We've stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort twice and Port Orleans Riverside on our trip this past November. We've in the process of purchasing DVC at Saratoga Springs, and hope to stay in the Treehouse Villas for our New Year's Eve 2015/2016 trip. Looking forward to your posts! xx

Thanks for the warm welcome!

As for where we stay - generally we stay off resort, but last time out we stayed at Universal Royal Pacific, which was nice, but a little too restrictive for us (we like self catering TBH as I'm notoriously picky, and it makes it easier).

One day we'll stay at a Disney resort!

Tips - the biggest tip is: follow my wife around and if you feel in anyway ill, she'll be able to sort you out! silly She has prbably the best equipped, yet smallest medipack ever. She's sorted out everything from a migraine to a sprained ankle (and all points between) from a bag small than a paperback book!

Also - though they're not the height of fashion, Crocs are your friend when walking around the parks -soft, flexible and quick drying, she swears by them. I tend to wear lightweight walking shoes (as I have mahoosive feet I look incredibly silly in crocs) Laughing out loud

Hey! Welcome!

Hope you've already started figuring out your plans for next year...it's never too soon to start!

I've never tried touring the parks in Crocs, but I may give it a go this time and see what happens. I'm always under the illusion that if I don't wear athletic shoes, my feet are going to be killing me by the end of the day.

Also: mahoosive is now my new favorite word...is it British?

I'm a huge fan of Teva Mush flip flops. I've managed to convert my whole family. I wear them the entire time we're in WDW (though I always bring sneakers, I'm not sure why.) They are the most comfortable things I've ever worn!!!
