Surfing in Disney World

If you needed any further proof that Disney really does have something for everyone, we give you . . . surfing.  You read that right.  A Walt Disney World Vacation can include learning how to surf.  If you're looking for info on how to hang ten at WDW, check out our pages.

For those of you who are eight years old and up, surfing lessons can be had at Typhoon Lagoon, one of Disney's waterparks.  Though WDW is at least a good hour away from the nearest beach, Disney offers up professional surfing lessons before Typhoon Lagoon opens on certain days.  You can work on basics or perfect your technique as a wave machine creates continuous and controlled waves.  Classes run around two and a half hours and are limited to twelve people.  It's worth noting, however, that the class fee doesn't include a ticket to the water park; you'll have to purchase that separately if you decide to stay after the park opens.

Like anything Disney, planning ahead is essential; that's where we come in.  Use our up-to-date and uncomplicated pages to help plan your day of surfing fun at Disney.
