Yesterday, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced a list of 39 songs that have the potential for bringing home the Oscar for Best Original Song at the 84th Annual Academy Awards. Songs from Disney movies accounted for almost 25% of that list.
The nine songs that could make the final nomination list include:
"The World I Knew" from Disneynature's African Cats
"Collision of Worlds" Disney/Pixar's Cars
"Hello Hello" and "Love Builds a Garden" from Touchstone Pictures' Gnomeo & Juliet
