Best place for a drink?

Of the adult variety? Smile

There are a couple of afternoons that we will have some time to just enjoy a sip or two, and I'd love to see some resorts. Anyone love anywhere? I see the Lapu Lapu is a must at the Poly.

What about the grand? They have a band that play so you can listen to the music while you drink Wink

Ooooo! I love this question! I often start my vacation off with a monorail crawl.

Tambu Lounge at the Poly is frequently one of my first stops. Mizner's at the Grand Floridian has a Live Jazz Orchestra from 4pm-10pm Making a trip to the Trout Pass Pool at the Wilderness Lodge is a great way to see the beautiful grounds there.

If you will have a DVC member with you Top of the World Lounge at Bay Lake Tower my most favorite Disney lounge for Fireworks.

Aunties Mai Tai is a great drink at the Poly also. It's not on the menu, but you can "Mai Tai" one on with it, the Back Scratcher too. Anywhere you can find the Rye Manhattan , I love them.

Does the DVC member have to also be staying at BLT to get into Top of the World Lounge? I thought that is what I had read. If not, then that changes EVERYTHING for us!! laugh

Originally yes, however through 2013 any DVC member can access the lounge. There are blackout dates, I believe they were 4th of July, Christmas & the last week of December. But that's off the top of my head so double check the blackout dates.

We're having a private dessert party at the GF on our anniversary night, so I was thinking of hitting up one of their bars before that.

Would it be bad form to just ask random people at OKW to take us to Top of the World? laugh We're renting points to stay there, but I know that doesn't give us access.
