Like I need to add to my addiction...

Hi everyone

I'm Julie-Anne and although I've befriended WDWFG on Facebook ages ago and signed up on here this is my first proper look. I spend so much time on another WDW forum that I wasn't sure I need to add to my addiction, however, the whole concept on here being for grown ups I feel is going to be more for me in the near future as my son is almost 17 and I imagine I'll be going it alone to WDW until he can pay for himself or I have grandchildren. The latter I hope is a long while off crossfingers

So just wanted to say "hello" and I look forward to becoming one of the family biggrin

Thanks so much for coming on over and joining the member forums! I've got three teens (13,18 & 19) so I know how you feel. Luckily my oldest daughter is as obsessed with Disney as I am, and has been more than happy to pay her way on my last few trips down our Happy Place!

We've got a super friendly group of folks here and we're always thrilled to add on to the family! Tell us, do you have any trips in the works right now?

Aww thanks everyone, what a welcome, I think I'm going to like it here yeah

A little bit about myself...I'm a single Mum to a gorgeous boy who I'm extremely proud of. We had our first "holiday of a lifetime" to WDW when he was 5 years old and both fell deeply in love. We have our 5th trip booked for November this year and I'm counting the days!! 298 to be precise wink We have 3 weeks in our happy place, starting with 5 nights on I Drive to do Universal/Seaworld and KSC then we move to Disney for the rest of the holiday. It will be our first time on the dining plan so we are both looking forward to that and are staying at Port Orleans Riverside where we've not stayed yet but visited on our last trip and fell in love with. I am also on the look out to rent some DVC points so we can have a couple of nights in BLT, if anyone can help that would be great?

That's about it for now...roll on November and thanks again biggrin

It's a bit too early but I have them all in mind, just waiting for May now to start booking them. Some new, some favourites.

My favourite park is MK as is why I'm hoping to spend the last 2 nights in BLT with MK view. To see my favourite place in the whole world last thing before I sleep and first when I wake, I will be the happiest woman on earth muchlove

My favourite attraction isn't actually in WDW (it's Forbidden Journey) but I think my fave in Disney is probably Splash Mountain as it's the ride that makes me think of our first trip and the theming and music is fantastic.

I just love it ALL!!!!!! laugh

What a wonderful experience for you and your son to share over and over again! So glad you get to come back soon and stay for so LONG! That's fabulous...I can't imagine having that much time at Disney...lucky, lucky, lucky!!

And best of luck in getting the perfect view of the perfect place in BLT! What a fantastic way to cap off your vacation!

Keeping EVERYTHING crossed for BLT. I can't afford to pay full price to stay so I'm hoping some kind DVC member has 46 points to rent to lil ole me Innocent

Yes that's the one I'm going to use. I'm going to submit my request at the end of the month when I get paid and hope that some lovely DVD member with BLT as their home resort wants to rent me 46 points crossfingers

That's great news your husband shares in your obsession. My son loves Disney and Orlando but as a typical 16 year old his real obsessions are xbox games, rock/metal music and his girlfriend. He does go along with mine though, bless him.
