Apple Pay Coming to Walt Disney World Resort in October

Guests at the Walt Disney World Resort will have a new way to pay for merchandise in October, provided they have the new iPhone 6.

Apple Pay is coming to the Walt Disney World Resort this fall and it will allow guests to make purchases at locations throughout the resort using their iPhone.

Paying for purchases with Apple Pay requires a single step and Disney joins merchandisers including Macy's, Whole Foods, Bloomingdales, McDonald's, Subway, and Staples as the first retailers and restaurants where Apple Pay will be utilized.

The Proverbs of Kidani Village

Animal Kingdom Lodge's Kidani Village is a beautiful example of how Disney's Imagineers strive to create a home away from home for Disney Vacation Club Members. The grandeur of Jambo House is brought down to a smaller yet equally stunning design at Kidani, giving it a warmer and more intimate feeling. One of my favorite details of Kidani Village are the simple sayings painted on the walls of the resort. Popular native proverbs from the countries of Africa express truths or common human experiences that touch the heart.

Lush Green Roofs Help Invoke the Spirit of Norway at Epcot

I've had a love affair with World Showcase since Epcot's early days. As a teenager I was in awe of the imagineers work on each pavilion and how they managed to condense down the culture and vitality of an entire country into each beautiful stop. For a very long time now one of my most beloved Epcot details has been a roof in Epcot's Norway Pavilion. Yes, you read that right, a roof.

The Magic Kingdom's Town Square Firehouse

Fire-fighting enthusiasts will want to be sure to stop by Engine Co. 71 in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. Sitting in a prominent location right next to City Hall, this Town Square Firehouse is the home base for the Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom Recruitment Center. Here, Merlin enlists Theme Park guests to help battle a villainous take over of the Magic Kingdom in an interactive card game through the Park that's fun for all ages.

Jungle Cruise to be Transformed into the Jingle Cruise for the Holidays

The Magic Kingdom's Jungle Cruise is once again getting a holiday makeover.

Last year marked the first time the popular attraction went through a holiday transformation. This year, starting in November, the Jungle Cruise will become the "Jingle Cruise" for the winter holiday season.

The Jungle Cruise boats will be renamed with holiday-themed names, the queue and the boathouse will be transformed with holiday decorations, and the Skipper's jokes will take on a holiday theme as well.
