We first brought you the news of the planned refurbishment of the GM Test Track in Epcot back in January. The Future World attraction officially closed April 16 and is anticipated to reopen this fall with a new name: Test Track Presented by Chevrolet.

Journey Into Imagination with Figment – If Only We Still Had Dreamfinder

If you ask any longtime Disney fan what "extinct" Epcot attractions they miss most, you're likely to hear Horizons and the original Journey Into Imagination. Sure, Figment still exists today but the third incarnation of the ride is just not the same as the original.

Take an Entertaining and Educational Ride through Time and Space on Ellen’s Energy Adventure

If, on any given day at Epcot, you happen to have about 45 minutes to spare and you're looking for a place to rest your weary feet, we suggest visiting The Universe of Energy pavilion and taking a ride on Ellen's Energy Adventure.

Spaceship Earth – The Iconic Symbol of Epcot

There are two things Spaceship Earth is not. First, it's not a giant golf ball, despite the frequently overheard exclamation, "Hey look! There's the giant golf ball!" Second, it's not a dome. In fact, it's two domes built together to create the largest geodesic sphere in the world measuring 180 feet in diameter and 18 stories tall. The outside of the sphere is covered by 11,324 aluminum facets that, when it reflects the lights at night, is a stunning sight to see.

Test Track Presented by Chevrolet

Epcot's all a buzz for the re-opening of the brand new Test Track Presented by Chevrolet. The pavilion opened originally with the park, in 1982, as GM's 'World of Motion' and then was redesigned as the thrilling 'GM Test Track' in 1998. Today, after months of closure (renovations began back in April) this Future World staple is back with a fresh coat of paint and a brand new sponsor.

Listen to Epcot's Unique Percussion Crew: The JaMMitors

One of my favorite parts of Epcot is all the live entertainment happening constantly around the park. Music is everywhere, even at the trashcans. The JaMMitors are a unique "percussion-playing cleanup crew" that adds fun and creativity to even the most boring of Disney jobs. Instruments for this exciting entertainment crew are simply "regular trash cans, dustpans, and hardhats." Dressed as custodians the group "are actually percussionists who bang, clap, clip and clomp to your heart's delight".

Attractions to Relax on at Epcot

Continuing my tour of places to chill out and relax at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Today I'm looking at attractions to escape to when you need to take a mid-day break at Epcot. These five great attractions are perfect places to get off of your feet and into some air condition before you head back out for the rest of your day.

Extinct Epcot: Kitchen Kabaret Revue

Continuing our tour through some of EPCOT Center's original, and now extinct, attractions, we now take a look back at Kitchen Kabaret Revue.

Pooh and Friends at the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival

Another Friday visit to the Flower and Garden Festival is in order today! Last week we showed off the new Cars 2 topiaries; this week, let's take a look at our favorite Hundred Acre Wood characters -- Pooh and friends.

From what we can tell, these topiaries are here to promo the new Pooh movie, but we're OK with that. They're pretty cute, and they are some of our family's favorite characters after all.
