Disney Conservation Fund Protects the Planet and Connects Families with Nature

The Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund was established in 1995 on Earth Day with a mission to protect the planet and connect kids with nature. The Fund also supports nonprofits that work to conserve wildlife and has provided $27 million in guest dollars and corporate support over the years.

Disney Cruise Line Ranked as an Environmentally Safe Cruise Line by Friends of the Earth

Disney Cruise Line was recently ranked as the most environmentally responsible cruise line by Friends of the Earth in the organization's 2014 Cruise Ship Report Card. Although the cruise line received an overall grade of a C+, it was higher than the other cruise line's grades.

On a recent trip I discovered that one of the new shops at Disney Springs is home to great gifts that support one of my favorite things in the world - Lavender.

I just got back from the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival; let me tell you, if you haven't been for a few years, it's time to start planning a trip. This annual extravaganza of colorful blooms has grown so much since I had last been six years ago I almost didn't know I was in the same place. It's a an explosion of natural color, fragrance, and ideas for making your world more beautiful. One of the most stunning displays that I came across this year was the Extraordinary Orchids in the Mexico Pavilion.

Water Buffalo Arrive In The Royal Anandapoor Forest

Disney's Animal Kingdom isn't your typical zoo - nor is it a typical theme park - instead it offers a melding of natural wonders in a pixie dusted environment of Disney magic. When new members of the animal kingdom move in to their habitats it's always an exciting time for both cast members and guests alike. The grassy plains habitat of Asia's Maharajah Jungle Trek have been home to blackbuck, Eld's deer, Sarus cranes, ruddy shelducks and bar-headed gees. This week they were joined by three new water buffalo.
