Free Dining Announced for Select Dates This Fall

Our friends at the Disney Food Blog shared the news this morning - Free Dining for Disney Visa Cardholders has been announced for dates in September. The offer is expected to open to the public on May 9.

Guests must have a minimum three night stay between September 2 and September 25 in order to receive the Free Dining. A minimum ticket purchase of at least at two-day Magic Your Way ticket is also required.

Celebrate Mother’s Day at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is planning a special Mother's Day Brunch at the Garden Grove restaurant, complete with a complimentary mimosa for mom. The whole family will have a chance to interact with their favorite Disney characters during the meal.

Food News In and Around Walt Disney World

Food at Disney World is an attraction in and of itself for many guests; here are some food news tidbits from around WDW.

First up are snacks. It looks like fans of the sweet cream cheese-filled pretzel can now get their fix at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The pretzels can be found on the Streets of America at the Pretzel Garden. Next, guests can use a Disney Dining Plan snack credit (or pay $3.19) to grab a Citrus Swirl. This sweet twist of vanilla soft-serve ice cream and frozen orange juice can be found in the Magic Kigndom's Sunshine Tree Terrace.

Art of Animation's Drop Off Pool Bar

Disney's Art of Animation is a fun place to stay if you're looking for a Value Resort that's fun for the whole family. While on my adults only trip last month I found myself frequently hopping up on a chair at The Drop Off Pool Bar to soak up the tropical atmosphere and quench my thirst.

Old Key West Resort's Gurgling Suitcase Bar

This week's stop on our tour of Disney Bars and Lounges is The Gurgling Suitcase at Disney Vacation Club's Old Key West Resort. This sunny spot to grab a drink is located in the "Conch Flats Village" main square located just off the main lobby. What a great location it is too, right near check in, the restaurants, self parking, the feature pool and the marina.

One of my favorite staples at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is the Desserts & Champagne Marketplace Booth which is located at the beginning of the World Showcase Promenade just to the right. As a long time champagne drinker, and dessert lover this booth brings together some of the tastes that I love most. Muddy Rivers Pool Bar at Port Orleans Riverside Resort

Tucked away on Ol' Man Island at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside is the Muddy Rivers Pool Bar. Situated well out of the way of the resort's guest rooms and main building, there is little hustle and bustle unless the feature pool is crowded. It appears to be the shambled kind of southern bar that you would expect to see out on the bayou, except it's Disney squeaky clean. Open to the elements with a faux weathered wood exterior and charming storm shutters that prop open.
