Kick Off a ‘Monstrous Summer’ With 24 Hours at the Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World Resort will kick off a Monstrous Summer by keeping three theme parks open for 24 nonstop hours on Memorial Day Weekend. The Magic Kingdom Park in Florida and Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will be open to guests from 6 a.m. local, May 24 to 6 a.m. local May 25, 2013.

Spaceship Earth – The Iconic Symbol of Epcot

There are two things Spaceship Earth is not. First, it's not a giant golf ball, despite the frequently overheard exclamation, "Hey look! There's the giant golf ball!" Second, it's not a dome. In fact, it's two domes built together to create the largest geodesic sphere in the world measuring 180 feet in diameter and 18 stories tall. The outside of the sphere is covered by 11,324 aluminum facets that, when it reflects the lights at night, is a stunning sight to see.

The Walt Disney Company Pledges $1 Million in aid to China Earthquake Victims

During an appearance in Beijing, China last weekend, LucasFilm president Kathleen Kennedy announced that The Walt Disney Company has pledged $1 million in humanitarian aid for the areas affected by the recent deadly earthquake in in China's Southwestern province of Sichuan. The money will be used to rebuild schools in the region.

This is not the first time that Disney has offered to help earthquake victims in China. The company has made donations to the country in 2007 and again in 2010.

A New Spa Experience Coming to Disney’s Saratoga Springs

This summer, guests at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa will have a chance to relax in a brand new spa experience re-opening in July.

The spa at Saratoga Springs has been closed for renovations since January and when it reopens as Senses - A Disney Spa, it will feature 10 treatment rooms, steam rooms, whirlpools, relaxation lounges, and a nail salon.
