Change is Coming for Advance Dining Reservation Cancellations

News out here in cyberspace has it that come October 26, the policy regarding the cancellation of an Advance Dining Reservation (or ADR) will change.

Here's what guests need to know: if you make a reservation after October 26 to select restaurants and fail to use said reservation or cancel it, you'll be charged $10. Also, guests wanting to cancel an ADR must give a full day's notice in order to forgo the fee. Guests should also be prepared to start giving their credit card number when they make an ADR on or after October 26.

Aqua Fresca at Epcot's Via Napoli

We cover a lot of bars, lounges and cocktails here on Walt Disney World for Grown Ups, but drinking at Disney can be an adventure even for those who don't imbibe in alcohol too. In the past I've covered a few fun mocktails on the Disney Bar Menu, and Le Few's Brew in the New Fantasyland.

Four Fantastic In Park Breakfasts at Walt Disney World

When talking about Disney Dining there's often a big focus on what's for dinner, sometimes we tend to forget that there are other meals in the day. At heart, I'm a breakfast girl, and some of you out there may be as well, after all "they" say it's our most important meal. I love all sorts of breakfast foods, and with late nights at the park my family tends to sleep in and often we don't even get out of the room before 10:00am.

A Grown Up Princess Breakfast at Akershus

I love a good character meal, and over my last several trips to Walt Disney World I've made a point of trying a new one every time. In October I made reservations for the Princess Breakfast at Akershus in Epcot's Norway Pavilion. I must admit I was a little reluctant to book here because I'm not always the most adventurous eater, and the thought of Norwegian food made me a little nervous.

A Walk Down Main Street USA

Main Street, U.S.A. is the first "themed land" inside the main entrance at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom and other Disney Parks around the world. As you walk beneath the train station overhead, you cross through a portal to another time. You notice that there's a Victorian theme throughout Main Street, yet the architectural styles represent several distinct areas of the country.

Our good friends over at the Disney Food Blog have announced that Advanced Dining Reservations for the highly anticipated Be Our Guest restaurant in Walt Disney World's New Fantasyland can be booked beginning Monday, August 20 at 7:00AM ET by calling (407) WDW-DINE. Online, guests will be able to book this fabulous new restaurant through disneyworld.com/dine on August 22.

Disney's Deluxe Resort Hotels

For folks who love to hit the parks and don't spend much time at their hotel during vacation, Disney's Value resorts are fantastic. But what if you're looking to slow down, and take it easy? Tipping on the Disney Dining Plan

Being on the Disney Dining Plan is a great way to reduce travel stress by pre-paying for your meals. It's important to remember though that the service tip for your waiter or waitress is not included in your dining plan costs and will still need to be left at the time of your meal.
