Epcot was one of Walt Disney's original visions. Originally standing for the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, it was actually intended to be much more of the basis for Walt Disney World than the Magic Kingdom. Eventually however his initial vision proved too grand to be carried out and it became the less expansive park that you see today.

Holidays Around the World: The Storytellers Of Epcot's World Showcase

For all of the deserved hype that the Osborne Lights, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and Candlelight Processional get during the holidays, there is one neglected bit of yuletide delight hiding in Walt Disney World. The storytellers at Holidays Around the World in EPCOT are phenomenal! It can be difficult to catch every presentation and it is not possible to see the storytellers sequentially, but making the effort is worth it.

Recently we talked about the peaceful feeling one has when stopping in the Japan Pavilion at Epcot, and the same can be said about the China Pavilion. Like its counterpart across the lagoon, this is another pavilion that has a lot to offer to guests.

As one tours the World Showcase at Epcot, it's easy to get caught up in the waves of people and even if you have a concrete plan, sometimes the hustle and bustle of the day takes a toll. Suddenly you find yourself a weary world traveler in need of a quiet spot to rest.

The Japan Pavilion is that perfect quiet spot. I will admit that up until very recently this was one pavilion that I usually passed by, unless the kids wanted to visit the Mitsukoshi Department Store. I never stopped and just took in the beauty of the pavilion.

Take Some Time to Explore Epcot's Italy Pavilion

The Italy Pavilion has always been a favorite place to spend some time exploring during any trip to Epcot. Perhaps it's because the pavilion is as close as I'm getting to Venice any time soon.

Explore the Charm and Romance of Paris and the Provinces in Epcot’s France Pavilion

Celebrate Holiday Traditions from Around the World at Epcot

The holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort is an extra magical time of year, and one of our favorite places to celebrate is Epcot.
