Walt Disney World Limited Time Magic: Week 3

The Christmas decorations may be down, but at Epcot Disney is celebrating the beautiful joy of a Winter Wonderland. As part of this year's Limited Time Magic campaign Epcot's Canada Pavilion is being transformed to celebrate the frosty, blustery season of fun.

Disney Being Sued By A Nun Over 'Sister Act'

It's a lawsuit over twenty years in the making. Delois Blakley recently sued Disney, claiming her 1987 autobiography, The Harlem Street Nun, was the basis for Disney's hit movie "Sister Act" and the theater production that followed.

The same year her book came out, Blakely reportedly wrote a synopsis of the story which she sent out to the movie industry, including a producer at Tri-Star Pictures. She claims that Tri-Star expressed interest in movie rights to the story, and that another producer took the project from Tri-Star to Disney. "Sister Act" was then made.

Disney Hires New Head of Casting

Disney got a new head of casting when it hired Randi Hiller to fill the slot of VP of casting. The post had been vacant since February's layoffs.

Hiller, an independent casting director with more than twenty years of experience, has worked on Marvel pictures in the past, including "The Avengers," "Thor," and "Iron Man 2." Her resume also includes a few past Disney pics - "Miracle" and "Race to Witch Mountain." She is also noted for her work on the Oscar-winner "Crash."

More Behind the ScenesPictures of Beast Castle

New Annie Leibovitz Disney Dream Portraits

It's been nearly two years since there were fresh pictures for the Disney Dream Portraits series, but that wait is over as Disney Parks recently unveiled three new Annie Leibovitz portraits.
The nearly four-year-old series features well-known celebrities captured as well-loved Disney characters. This latest round of portraits includes some villains- a first for the series.

Mysterious "1952" Disney Movie Project Renamed "Tomorrowland"

On Jan. 28, Walt Disney Studios announced that its live-action film formerly known as "1952" will now be titled "Tomorrowland." It's a project shrouded in mystery and suspense with very little known about what the movie actually is. Disney fans and movie buffs alike have bantered about many possibilities for this film, since word of the project got out.

Seashore Sweets at Disney's Boardwalk Resort

Sitting prettily on the shoreline at Disney's Boardwalk Resort is a charming old-fashioned candy and ice cream shop. Seashore Sweets has counters and displays full of saltwater taffy, fudge and cookies that make it easy to find something to love. The real winner here though is the delicious hand dipped ice cream.

A Visit to the Walt Disney Family Museum Part 1

Walt Disney may have said that it all started with a mouse, but we can't forget that it also all started with him. Located in what was once a barracks on the main post of San Francisco's Presidio, the Walt Disney Family Museum is 40,000 square feet that honors Walt Disney's life and achievements. Recently, I had the opportunity to take in a day at Epcot's International Flower and Garden Festival. One of the biggest and most anticipated annual events held at Walt Disney World, the Flower and Garden Festival, which is co-sponsored by HGTV, boasts acres and acres of gorgeous blooms, more than 75 Disney character topiaries and other special displays, and scores of seminars and chats.

The Fireworks Photography Field Guide

I love taking pictures while I'm in Walt Disney World, there are so many interesting sites to see, it's almost impossible to capture them in the ever-changing Disney Parks environment. I do fairly well at taking pictures by day, but when the night comes it's a whole different story. Before each vacation I try to read the camera's little manual so that I remember what settings I have available, but armed with my little point and shoot in the dark I frequently forget what I'm supposed to do.
